Full Day Float Trip: McKenzie River
The McKenzie River is a classic western Oregon fishing river. Drift boats used across the West were developed here decades ago. This fern-laden forested canyon is rich in character and flyfishing history. The McKenzie is comprised of mostly riffles and pocket water and is perfect for fly fishing right from the drift boat. The scenery is lush forest with a rugged back drop. The native fish are like the ones found on the Deschutes, but somewhat smaller averaging 12 to 15". There are native Westslope Cutthroat trout, beauties!! You may also catch stocked trout as well. This is a great experience for fly fisherman of all skill levels.
